Magistri Iohannis Hus Opera omnia

This series is a long-term scientific editorial project focused on making the complete works of Hus critically accessible. It was established in the 1950s on the initiative of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences as a replacement of older, partial, and methodologically unsatisfactory editions of Hus's texts. Its goal is to publish Hus's entire preserved œuvre in the form of modern critical editions based on a systematic study of the manuscript tradition and equipped with a critical apparatus and commentary. The collection is divided into twenty-seven volumes, the first four of which comprise texts written by Hus in Czech, the remainder are Latin texts. Since 2004, the Latin volumes have been published in the prestigious Corpus Christianorum – Continuatio Mediaevalis series by Brepols Publishers. The MIHOO series thus represents a fundamental source edition for the study of Hus's theology, preaching activities, and the broader context of the late medieval Reformation in Central Europe.
